It’s my last day in #Eastbourne, I’ve helped Mum clear as much of the house as I can, there’s more to be done but getting 31 boxes of books out the house and finding an auction house for all of Dad’s model trains is a big tick in the box for the family. #DeathCleaning

I took a screenshot of this photo after I’d added an emoji to cover a picture of my parents. This bookshelf is full of train books, American, Pacific Fruit Express in particular; to steam. With a side order of Eric Newby and Garrison Keilor’s back catalogue.
2/2 I can’t begin to add up the money that was spent on it all. It’s broken my heart, Dad never thought he had enough, “Oh to be rich” he’d say.
I also packed up 17 boxes of books from one room to go to a second hand book shop. The second picture is another bookcase to empty.

No, I’ve not been baking. It’s dust.
Mum and I were trying to make some sense of shelves and shelves and shelves of books. Military history, Gallipoli in particular, Dad has hundreds of them, all over the house. We’ve not even got to the planes, trains and automobiles books yet.

Today, I'm being positive for my well-being. I have started working in the garden, preparing for the seeds I will start in the house (food/flowers). I will resume #DeathCleaning items I no longer need, or use. It's not a lot for the world, but it will help me in my small place in it. #SelfCareIsCare
Today I've decided to deal with anything in front of my face. Today, I am working in my closet. I know I cannot fix the world, but I can work to make a small place in it, a little better.
