The sunsetting behind a mountain range in the distance. The sky has streaky clouds that are orange near the mountains and more white towards the top of the frame. The sun is at the left top thirds of the frame and the mountain tops break roughly follow the top third across the frame. Below the mountains at about middle of the frame is the lake surface in shadow, dozens of people are walking towards the lake or at its edge. There is a wide trail leading from the lake towards the left lower corner which people are walking on. To the right of the trail is a pond of dispersed water that is reflecting the light from the sunset so it has a golden yellow hue. In the foreground on the left bottom corner is a viewing platform that is the walkway down to the trail. The curved to the left banister is made of cylindrical metal tubes and it dark colored and the top curve is reflecting the sunlight and looks bronze.

Here is the view of Lake Manly from the parking lot barrier. The water in the front is always there from my knowledge. The water people are walking to is infrequent

A photo of the Panamint Range at sunset. The mountains are mostly just a silhouette; some snow can be made out on some of the tops. There are clouds that are being lit by the sunset that vary in color from fiery orange near in spots near the top of the mountains to a cotton candy pink toward the top edge of the frame. The sky behind and between the clouds is a blue purple near the top of the frame and it lightens to a light cyan near the center of the mountain range. Lake Manly splits the frame in half and has a reflection of the top half of the frame that was just described, albeit it is darker. Several people can be seen walking in the shallow lake forming ripples in the water and in their reflections, several people are also standing in the lake.
