Anyone have a #JanWritingGoal?
For my #DecemberWritingChallenge, I did 12 of 15 #writing sessions. I'm pretty pleased and consider anything done in December as a bonus.
Day 12/15: #DecemberWritingChallenge. Organizing our implementation evaluation using #PRISM. Designed a figure, drafted a table, revising the intro and methods.
Great resources thru @accordsresearch.bsky.social #ImpSci and this website:
re-aim.org/learn/prism/
Day 11 of 15 for my #DecemberWritingChallenge didn't involve any #writing.
I researched potential journals, reviewed relevant literature, reviewed what the journal has published related to implementation and using qualitative methods.
#medsky How did you learn to write scientific papers?
Day 10/15 of my #DecemberWritingChallenge: Reviewed a mentee's complete manuscript draft. So great to see individuals bring together interdisciplinary teams to work together to improve #health.
(Also kinda amazing to actually #write during the day! #nightowl)
Day 9 of 15: #DecemberWritingChallenge: Revised an interesting, well written paper on facilitators and challenges to implementing a complex intervention across multiple sites. #Impsci #medsky
So important to learn from implementation, linking research to clinical care. Will share more 😉
Day 8 of 15: #DecemberWritingChallenge: Worked on Specific Aims for a grant. And a biosketch. And a budget justification. And a scope of work. And a letter of intent. Phew. #teamscience #impsci #writing
Day 7 of 15 in my #DecemberWritingChallenge:
A letter of support and biosketch for a mentee's grant.
While I'd like my #writing to be all about me (well, not really), the privilege of #mentoring and #collaborating means that I'm frequently writing for the hopeful success of others.
#teamwork
Day 6/16 #DecemberWritingChallenge: Abstract for a protocol paper.
A hard part of #writing is getting started. Having just spent 45 min diving in, a good part about #writing is getting started.
Starting reminds me of what I'm working on...it also reminds me of #meaningful work.
#medsky #gerisky
So, in continuing my #DecemberWritingChallenge, day 5 of 15 focused on a grant resubmission, thinking about how to evaluate the contextual factors affecting implementation of #pragmatic clinical trial. Fun stuff. Actually and truly fun. #ImpSci. Sad to not be at #AcademyHealth #DISci conference.
Indeed, even if you don't love your #writing at first, don't let perfect be the enemy of the good (first draft). Or the #sfd.
What are you writing for day 3 of 15 of the #DecemberWritingChallenge?
Join us, jump in.
#decemberwritingchallenge people: how’s it going? After a good writing weekend, and life derailed me for the last 2 days, but I’m back at it today and the rest of the week looks pretty clear!
Here's my #DecemberWritingChallenge:
The goal is to write something "every workday", as in 5x3 (Dec 2-Dec 20).
Will you join me?
I love #research and #writing, and it takes intentionality to prioritize writing, especially with many competing meetings, tasks, clinic...
Blocked time=let's write
