Smithsonian targeted D.C.’s vulnerable to build brain collection The Smithsonian museum’s collection of human remains contains dozens of brains from vulnerable Washington, D.C., residents, many taken without consent.

“Museums are colonial crime scenes.” -Wandile Kasibe (Iziko Museums, South Africa) said at a recent workshop, making the case for #DecolonizingMuseums.
Here’s today’s exhibit on just how awful some of the crimes were, committed by big name scientists at prestigious institutions like the Smithsonian:
