Denim Day takes place every April, which is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. This day of action & awareness is an event when everyone encouraged to wear denim to combat victim blaming.
On this #DenimDay, I stand in solidarity with survivors and reaffirm my commitment to ending sexual violence.
Our Family Justice Project started participating in #DenimDay years ago to raise funds for services for survivors of sexual violence, and it's now continued by staff at Legal Aid Center and @resjustcenter.bsky.social. We can help survivors with TPOs, name changes, immigration, and more.
Today I got out of my car at the state capital garage & when the elevator arrived two people had “ask me about my jeans” T-shirts
