Frank and Jude have spearheaded the campaign to raise awareness of empty and derelict buildings that litter the country. Thanks to their efforts it is now a national talking point. Councils are reluctantly taking action on the number of #DerelictIreland properties in their area. Beir Bua a chairde.

#DerelictIreland and #VacantIreland are a huge driver of this. The Govt have introduced another grant now for premises over shops/offices. I hope it makes a difference. Eoghan’s right - pushing people to long commutes while the towns they leave after work have so many empty properties makes no sense

2- #DerelictIreland and ribbon development are not sustainable. Old railway lines are being converted to greenways which is lovely and all, but it’s a backward step. We need more transport infrastructure servicing rural hubs not less. We need more public transport. Everywhere.
