I love this about designing Sugar Beach: “The site, Cormier said, was full of sugar mist. Channeling George Seurat’s images from “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of Grand Jatte” and “Bathers at Asnières,” he created a sandy beach with the commercial terminal as a backdrop.”

Five people seated on a stage with a projection showing an event titled "The Legacy of Claude Cormier" and an aerial view of Love Park. Panel: Agata Mrozowski, Charles A. Birnbaum, Elizabeth Pagliacolo, Guillaume Paradis, Nina-Marie Lister.
People gathered around an illuminated fountain at night in a city square with trees. Dog statues encircle the fountain, facing a golden bone at the top.
A packed house for an evening reflecting on the special legacy of Claude Cormier - we are lucky for his gems of work around the city.
Landscapes are for people.
Highly recommend these video clips thanks to the work of The Cultural Landscape Foundation!

An Arabic recipe book held open by metal sculpted into chains. A stack of books behind it has melted metal on top. All the pieces are on top of a plinth in a gallery.
A family photograph blown up and mounted on a gallery wall. It shows family around a dining table, looking and smiling at the camera. Headphones are hanging on the wall next to the image.

Photo from Beyond the Body exhibit by Pixel Heller. A Black person wearing a massive costume made of black fur with horns such that their body is totally obscured is situated in a sun dappled forest covered in moss and ferns. Their eyes stare directly into the camera.
Photograph of Homing (Pigeon Store) installation by Maddy Young. Features a mini corner store — but for pigeons — that attaches to a bike trailer. Wooden pigeons settle on the mini store, bike, and baby blue walls of the room behind which shiny silver streamers blow.
