The Visionary Works of Zaha Hadid Dame Zaha Mohammad Hadid DBE RA (1950–2016) was a trailblazing Iraqi-British architect, renowned for her bold, futuristic designs that redefined contemporary architecture. Born in Baghdad, Iraq, Hadid first studied mathematics before transitioning to architecture at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London in 1972. Deeply influenced by Suprematism and the Russian avant-garde, Hadid adopted abstraction as a guiding principle, using painting as a medium to explore radical forms and spatial configurations.
