5 layered beaded-bead with Dodecahedral structure and cubic-style protrusions. 2 Black protrusions seen on each side of the center orb, constructed with clear AB-lustered size 8 seed beads.
Another 'protruded' beaded-bead in progress. 5 layers without the protrusions. There will be 20 protrusions total.

A 3-layered 'cigar-band' ring, made from 3mm fire-polished (bronze; topaz AB) crystals, and 13/0 black diamond AB charlottes. Triangle Weave.

"Platonic Crown Jewels" A head-dress featuring the 5 Platonic Solids, expressed as 9 beaded-beads, which were woven with vintage crystal beads, size 15 seed beads, 6lb monofilament. I combined the techniques of triangle weave, netting, spherical pentagon stitch, and CRAW (cubic right-angle weave). There are two beaded-beads representing each platonic solid, with the exception of the Icosahedron, which is the centered bead in the crown. The beaded-beads are anchored with sterling silver wire to a flattened-spiral steel wire band. The crown can be tied onto the head with the silver ribbon at the ends of the steel wire band. The Platonic solids were my first connection to three-dimensional geometry. I am continually enamored with using them as the primary building blocks for my artwork. This is my first time attempting to create any type of crown or head-dress using geometric beaded-beads as the focal point of expression. I am exhilarated with this result!

One of the layers is/was a rhombic #triacontahedron (affectionately known as an RTC or "Artie" to my fellow #geometry nerds & polyhedron-enthusiasts).
This would be considered a stellated #zonohedron, I think.

As with my 2019 submission (Anemone Ball), I've duplicated most of the hyper-layering of seed beads using netting, right-angle weave, peyote stitch, square stitch and triangle weave. At the thirty vertices of a beaded rhombic triacontahedron, I've created 4-sided protrusions. I've embellished the protrusions in a five-color array to illustrate chirality. "In chemistry, a molecule or ion is called chiral if it cannot be superposed on its mirror image by any combination of rotations and translations. The terms are derived from Ancient Greek χείρ, meaning "hand"; which is the canonical example of an object with this property." [Wikipedia]

This is one of those 'oil-slick' glass stones that gets piled into vases. Much more purple in reality.
That "button-style" embellishment (3rd pic) is one of (what will be) a total of 6.
Still deciding if I should add onto the back, or leave as-is.

B&W one is mine, aqua one sold years ago (incidentally redesigned as a necklace). The center grey BB was made in 2010; it has 7 layers. Only 1 BB has required replacement since.
