The new desk lamp/SAD light is a huge improvement. Floating below it is my iPad. Just barely fitting below the iPad are 4 canisters. 3 hold my most used Chike Protein coffee powders (decaf, caramel, and vanilla) and the last one is full of fruit flavored jelly belly jelly beans. To the right of those is my large hot pink insulated water tumbler from Simple Modern. To the left is my second protein coffee of the day. Each full shaker is two servings and equals 200 calories and 40 grams of protein. And in front of it all is my knitting. Today’s WiP is the 1st Kimspired sock. It’s got black cuff and toe accents (Kim’s favorite color is “Dark” and she specifically requested black for this pair) and when I said No to that idea she then asked for purple so the main color is black, grey, and cream with pops of hot pink that look purple in places. Just out of frame is a jar of fucks to give. 🤪

Realized it’s been a minute since I posted a #DeskSelfie You’ll notice there’s no knitting or cats today. Just a coffee protein shake, the powder it came from, a massive cup of water, and the jar of fucks I refuse to give away. Today is going to be a slog. You’re my only hope Obi BlueSky.

Today’s #DeskSelfie is the right side of the desk. Couldn’t resist when #LeoCatstoy decided it was time for cuddles and to rub on the edge of the yarn cubbies again. It’s way past time to tidy this corner again. Every so often I go digging through the sock yarn and make a cascading mess of it.

So they got just wet this morning. Prince (our brown tabby Chunkosaurus) is licking the food pouches because of course he is. He won’t eat the wet food, but the packaging, you betcha.

Self portrait via the things around me (specifically, my desk). There’s a very large, very hot pink water mug just off center. To the right is my computer with a glass jar full of little wooden fucks. The tag on the jar says, “Fucks to give”. To the left are two piles of hand knit socks. Three adult size are the first pile. They are for my middle daughter. Seven pair of baby socks are the second pile. They’re for my oldest daughter who is expecting a baby girl. There’s a bag of pistachios towards the back.
Haven’t done this for a minute. I need to make sock deliveries to my daughters. #DeskSelfie.

Me reflected in my desk. Leo is sitting on the corner looking for pets. The soundtrack to Rent is playing on the iPad, and there’s a hodgepodge of knitting in various states. A finished pair of green socks is in the foreground.
Far left is the tortie of judgement, Jazz, loafing in the middle of the cat tree. Back right is a pile of a variety of almost finished knitting projects with the in process holiday gift socks on top. In front of the pile are three pairs of finished socks that just need a quick soak. And in front of all that is the Zauberball yarn. Its sock in progress is out of frame. Picture a color and it’s somewhere in that pile.
Since I’m focusing on the Zauberball I put the other WiPs on the back burner which is literally the pile at the back of the desk. Pulled out the finished pairs to wash later. Was going to wait till there were more but want to move them to the completely finished pile. #DeskSelfie #Knitting 🧶
