the most powerful #Celtic clans of #Wales, historically the House of Dinefwr / Clan Dinefwr stands out. They trace back to Hywel Dda (Hywel the Good, 10th century), who became King of Deheubarth and eventually ruled most of Wales

So beautiful to see and hear plenty of wildfowl on the lakes at #Dinefwr yesterday. Pintails, teal, shovellers, wigeon, gadwall, a heron, a little egret, moorhens, coots, mallards.
A bit too distant for decent pics. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Head of a fallow stag looking from its resting place behind a moss-clothed tree trunk. Good antlers!
Male fallow deer lying together
The fallow deer herd looking very calm and rested at #Dinefwr park yesterday.

A really interesting and insightful trustees planning day with WTSWW followed by a walk around by #Dinefwr castle, castle woods and #Llandyfeisant church. The views from the castle were fantastic stretching across much of the #Towy valley and beyond.
