Infographic: - 4,006,400 persons with 'disability certificates' lived in Poland in 2023 according to the Polish Statistics Office - Eurostat states that 24,4% of the Polish population (over 16 years old) has 'activity limitations' (with and without 'disability certificate') . 26,1% of women have a disability and 22,3% of men have a disability.
Only 32,8% of persons with disabilities of working age are employed. Regarding education of persons with disabilities: 43,4% only have lower education; 24,9% have upper secondary education (generally means high school or vocational education); 13,7% have tertiary education (university or similar) Our Human Rights Report from 2022 on political participation shows that Poland denies right to vote to people under guardianship and imposes limitations on persons with disabilities to stand as a candidate Our Human Rights Report from 2024 shows that Poland allows full deprivation of legal capacity.
