Hi! I'm Demian! Communist, non-binary, disabled, and COVID-realist from a compassionate and anti-capitalist perspective. I live with extreme chronic pain and fatigue that affects me every day.
I want to have calls/videocalls! In general, my limits regarding the phone are to prioritize calls because I have very little human contact (due to ableism and my Long COVID) and I also don't like to spend too much time with messages because they make me feel very dissociated and not connected to people (and in English is much difficult because its my third language). I believe in humanity. I believe in organization. It is not true that most people are selfish, bad, stupid, ignorant, or unwilling to learn about COVID. Most people do not know what is going on, or feel powerless to stop it, or both. I don’t blame people for not masking, I ask myself how can I organize a collective response to this eugenic. Spanish, Italian and English.

I believe in humanity. It is not true that most people are selfish, bad or unwilling to learn. Most people do not know what is going on, feel powerless to stop it, or both. People stopped masking because of propaganda. We must love the people, not blame the people.

A great majority of people who have stopped taking Covid precautions have done so because they have been misled, because they are exhausted, and because we are in an information vacuum. The abandonment by our governments under the guise of “individual responsibility” has meant that harming others as the pandemic continues has been unavoidable for many, many people.

Let’s aim to use language that promotes understanding, solidarity, and inclusivity in our conversations here. - With the recent escalation of violence in Palestine, it’s important to remind the community that we intentionally center marginalized groups and voices. We are an anti-Zionist community, and we support the liberation of Palestine. This is a stance shared by many Black, Indigenous, and liberation movements.
