Inside a stone-walled dungeon, a pair of heavy iron shackles lies broken on the floor, their hinges splayed open. A tall arched doorway ahead stands ajar, its thick wooden doors pushed outward. Pale dawn light spills through the gap, tracing a cool path across the gritty ground to the shackles. Beyond the threshold, a strip of calm blue sea and sky is visible, softened by haze.
