I love #DouglasStrachan glass wherever I see it. For me, his complete set of windows at St Thomas’s church, at Winchelsea, in East Sussex, takes some beating, even if it is about as far away from Scotland as one can be in Britain. Examples from there here:

#StainedGlassSunday Daughter was on a visit to her old school, Morrison’s Academy, for its 165th anniversary celebrations yesterday. Here she is in front of its war memorial window, by #DouglasStrachan. Brought back memories of reading the lesson!

It was interesting to visit #Ely & the @stainedglassmuseum.bsky.social .

Last year they purchased a stained glass window by #DouglasStrachan.
Apparently it used to be in Heatherlie Parish Kirk, Selkirk.

#DouglasStrachan was born 150 years ago today. Here in Crieff we have two of his #StainedGlass works. There’s a war memorial window in Morrison’s Academy and a Pilgrim’s Progress window in the dilapidated former South Church, in memory of George Strathairn, a former Rector of Morrison’s.

It also has a #DouglasStrachan window. Building is A listed by Historic Environment Scotland but it just deteriorates.

A balding St Andrew with a long grey beard is dressed in green. The background is blue knotwork against red.

Behind his head are three points of a cross with the lion of St Mark, the angel/man of St Matthew & the ox of St Luke.

Very interesting visit to Dunblane Cathedral, with informative talk on the #StainedGlass by Rona Moody, followed by a meeting of the Scottish Stained Glass Symposium. Here’s the smallest window #DouglasStrachan made. Daffodils and tulips to brighten up a blustery and showery day.

At a lunchtime concert at Greyfriars Kirk, given by the talented pupils of Fettes College. Then had lunch at Edinburgh Castle, followed by a visit to the Scottish National War Memorial and St Margaret’s Chapel, so saw lots of #StainedGlass by #DouglasStrachan.
