2010: visiting a steelworks in #Alchevsk, #Ukraine, on to #Dovschansk (then known as #Sverdlovsk) and #Mariupol. All these places - which were then peaceful - now occupied and in some cases destroyed since #Russia's 2014 invasion. More in my book "Lessons in Diplomacy", out soon. More on my blog.
