I am hoping the clan members will make an appearance too, so you’re not embarrassed by me interrupting any playtime. The young master has inspired a liveliness in you. It reminds me of when we met so long ago. I remember more than I’ve wanted to of the seemingly endless years of my life. Even if the years have made certain memories foggy for the better, I will never forget meeting you. How odd it is that someone living almost as many years as me could have such a optimistic view of the world. I admit, you left an impression on me. But that infectiously positive view changed. But I can’t help but reminisce about our lives, unfortunately intertwined like the talisman you were so carefully weaving for today. If I am to be honest in a letter for your eyes only, assuming the young master or Blade has gotten tired of reading over your shoulder by now, I would say: fortunately intertwined. You know me well, old friend, meaning you know I am truthful when I remind you that I am fond of you. Even if the years have changed us, how I feel about you has remained the same. You are quiet, brutish, and sometimes repulsive when you spend too much time in the disgusting water you wade around in behind your home, but I enjoy your company and companionship. Old Fox, I don’t pay much attention to the passage of time these days. Somehow, you’ve kept better track of my age than I have. Then again, you’ve always been observant. Despite all that, I can’t help feeling a similar nostalgia with each year that passes. More so now, with the little devil and the others insisting on a celebration. While their lives are only temporary, I think you and I both have learned to appreciate what we have while we have it. And if I do live for eternity, at least I have someone to spend it with. Quincy
