I sat and chatted with Robert and his son for a bit. In his younger days he’d raced here at MIR. They’d talked about #DragWeek but Roberts son surprised him with a trip to the event.
I was truly touched.

Damn the cars at #DragWeek were cool. This was by far the coolest thing I saw. Father & Son

This is the fastest car at #DragWeek this year, a Viper. They’re 10cyl right? Look how the builder incorporated the turbo piping next to the exhaust making this 8cyl appear to be 10cyl. The owner is a hoot! Looks like a fun race team. 👍

Work continues on Finnegan’s Blasphemi before the first run on the last day of #DragWeek
It appears they are adjusting the weights on the clutch in an effort to control their string of outrageous wheelies this week.

Leaving this AM for the last day of #DragWeek and I gotta tell ya, I’ve seen top fuel, funny cars and the like but this group of cars is simply amazing. I will do this event again, no doubt.

Drag Week starts tomorrow with sign in and Test &Tune at Maryland Int. Raceway. A great 1/4 mile drag strip, right next to Potomac Speedway a 3/8 clay dirt track which is next to world famous Budds Creek Motocross Track.
