Finished "Twelve Months" this morning. As someone struggling with burnout and some recent losses, I felt this book much more than expected.
It's basically a story about PTSD pretending to be an urban fantasy tale. (Not that I didn't enjoy the urban fantasy as well!)

#DresdenFiles I still think Butters should've had a conceptual idea of what a necromancer was.
"Necromancers… Wizards who control the dead... Those are real?"
Something like that. Dresden would still have to explain the reality Vs the fiction, but it works while keeping Butters' nerd cred.

I've been reading the #DresdenFiles for gods knows how long, and the last book was so bad I was near to giving up on it all like a childhood folly.
Twelve Months isn't perfect, but it's in a much better place. And that's all it needs to be.

Just finished the latest #DresdenFiles #HarryDresden novel from #JimButcher, TWELVE MONTHS, and it's such a good follow-up from BATTLE GROUND with some great insight into emotion, grief, happiness, and friends and family.
10/10 recommend it and the series.
