Photograph taken at DriftPro Championships at Oulton Park, Cheshire. Watching motorsport is my environmental failing in life. Two yellow cars drift at 45 degrees to the track tarmac across the centre of the image creating clouds of smoke from its tyres. Around the track is gold-olive patches of drought-ridden grass and crowds of spectators in the distance. Part of the drifting challenge involves a 'chase' between two cars. The better the synchronicity, the higher the score. These two competitors are perfectly aligned, close and skilled.

Photograph taken crouched down looking up at a car at the Driftpro Championships a while ago. Racer 420, was a Nissan S14a with the most amazing livery and driven by Harry Love (Inst: @hl_drifting). Car is too wide to fit on the image frame but has narrow lights that peep out from under the bonnet. The livery is bright turquoise,and covered in the scales and claws of a large dragon which introduces flashes of bright pink, black, white and yellow. The race number 420 is displayed in the top right of the windscreen. The car sits on the tarmac in the paddock under a black canopy resting between races. Love watching drifting - so skilful. The car liveries are fascinating too - all the different styles and seeing how eye catching they look on the track. It isn’t remotely environmentally friendly and it's my one big downfall.
