I had grown fond of the naming conventions of "Game of Thrones" years before the series rolled up on my doorstep in Jerome Arizona, and long before I moved her, to the Pojoaque lands, on that River, which usually is 95% dry wash, except for some days in Monsoon season. s was this day. The deep charcoal clouds are breaking open to allow a sliver of white Sunlight down to illuminate the swift freshet which had yet to flow in front of me in that moment. Colors are tans, golds, deep charcoal grays, deep indigo blue at the top of the image where the clouds were their darkest. The skies are silver gray and the merest hints of blue on the back left of the image. This area was actually a wetlands zone, which held a standing rivercane and cattails swamp for all the seven years I lived there. There were floods and washouts maybe twice a year. Otherwise, dry wash.
