oh, absolutely not. She knows that once she was a child + that the child was blameless. She’s incredibly dissociated from her pre-lobotomy self + is sure she was a monster (she doesn’t really know but it might be worse than she’s imagining tbh)
She was calculating. Ambitious. Indifferent.

#EtienneOC thinks everyone is capable of doing good and bad, and those choices dont inherently make a person ‘good’ or 'bad’. that said, his urges throughout the game & the pieces he remembers tell him that he wouldnt have been considered one aha
Hes trying his best now :)

#DurgeQOTD #TavQOTD [Durge AU Phina]

Since waking up on the beach, Phina has been fighting desperately against a compulsion to maim and kill. She knows in her heart that it's wrong.

Surely, if she knows this, then there must have been a time she was good?

But her deepest fear is that she was not.

When I write about Nithvari, I always like to mention the "twitching" some characters in the game refer to, like it never ceases. Then the headache, nausea and general discomfort that doesn't go away until she kills

#durgeqotd: memories vs memory loss

Petra feels more frustration over the memory loss than anything. Flashes of her past interrupt her sleep. She carries mementos from before but when she looks at them she feels nothing except the want to keep them anyway. In truth, she finds it tiresome. [ #wip ]

#durgeqotd remembering vs. memory loss?

#tavqotd
For Xandros, neither. He frankly doesn't care if his memories come back or not. #xandros

For Lu, it's not remembering. They want to know what they did before the memory loss. Luckily, they get it all back. #lucifael

#durgeqotd Does your Durge name their Urge or do they refuse to acknowledge it at all?

#tavqotd #xandros #lucifael
These two call it the urge and nothing else. They acknowledge it and treat it as something that they have to put up with from time to time.

Xandros is more accepting of it than Lu.

#durgeqotd He doesn't, he lives in a world where violent instincts are needed to keep him, and the people he loves, safe. But he has always been acutely aware of how he loses himself to them when he has power over someone, so he gave his power to orders, to doctrine, something outside of himself.

#durgeqotd It feels righteous; Dirge views The Urge as a divine confirmation for staying in line with a forgotten (non-existent) oath, he doesn't question the source of his power, he can't afford to. When he fails to control it, the shame is his to carry and how The Urge tries to keep him isolated.

Ah yes, one that I can actually answer with no fear🤓

Post your OC along with a lyric or quote that describes them

"You should see me in a crown" by Billie Ellish is so Nithvari coded 💜

#durgeqotd Besides a headache, all he had left of whoever he was, was his name, The Dark Urge; he thought it a mantle but couldn't recall what duties it entailed. He didn't think much past that, he was in soldier-mode; assessing his environment, measuring risk, utilising whatever he could find.

#TavQOTD #DurgeQOTD CW: pregnancy loss
#ElegysOC 's child was supposed to have died in utero but someone rightfully brought up to me that Bhaal is a god and he could've just nabbed whatever was left and made another Durge.

So... that's #IkarusOC.
Not sure if he's canon yet or an AU.

#durgeqotd Achaia, especially with his persistent memory issues, is much more frightened of what he’s forgotten. Not only his past life in the temple, But sometime he forgets if he put the children to bed properly?Did he make plans & forget them? Who even is he? He can’t remember

#DurgeQOTD #Othorion

Neither. Orion isn't afraid of the things he's done. And honestly? He'd absolutely do them again if given the chance. It frustrates him that he can't remember a significant amount of his past though. +

#tavqotd #durgeqotd Blythe is horrified by the things she remembers, but she is more afraid of what she doesn't. Blurry memories of her past haunt her in her nightmares, and she dreads the thought of what could be lurking in her mind that she doesn't remember.

#DurgeQOTD

Given all the horrible things Darius DOES remember, what stuff of nightmares things does he not? Unironically they tend to crop up in his sleep, giving him nightmares and take away from his sleep.

The nightmares always raises the question: Who was he? Does he deserve this second chance?

#DurgeQOTD #TavQOTD [Durge AU Seraphina]

She is absolutely more afraid of the hidden depths lurking within her... if the little she remembers is THAT horrifiying, she dreads to think what her brain is capable of hiding 😭

#durgeqotd #tavqotd Did the Urge feel familiar to your Durge or alien? Do they recognize the Urge for what it is?

The Urge was one of the only things that felt familiar to Echo when they stumbled out of the pod. But they had no idea it was Bhaal's hand. It felt only half like a part of them.

#durgeqotd #tavqotd What frightens your Durge more: what they remember, or what they don’t?

Echo is far more afraid of what they don't remember. They are not afraid of the memories they have recovered— they hate those, they're ashamed, but they fear the threats they cannot see coming

What frightens your Durge more: what they remember, or what they don’t?

The past he doesn't remember and the truth or pain that lurks within. Durge has glimpses of a tiefling and a half-orc...

"I think they mattered..."

What he doesn't. There's a gaping hole of nothing where memories ought to be. He knows he deserves to remember as penance for what he's done, whatever that might be. #durgeqotd #tavqotd #bg3durge

For Purgatorio, genuine anxiety and fear. He’s wanted to be rid of the urge since way before the events of #bg3. It’s to the point that despite being an incredibly devoted druid, he refuses to wildshape out of fear of becoming the slayer.

Darius tended to call it The Beast and he often welcomed it, especially when he was overcome with emotions and wanted (needed) a wipeout.

#durgeqotd #tavqotd Does your Durge name their Urge or do they refuse to acknowledge it at all?

To Echo, it is their curse. To Elegy, it was their Father's guiding hand (and a persistent source of fear they could not acknowledge too directly).

#tavqotd #durgeqotd I tried to describe what tf happened to #Orlaith when the urges got her in the past in a ff, and I would say the general feeling is that of dissociation. I frequently mention the fact she has headaches, gets very confused, that sort of thing. Less physical, more mental I'd say.
