The completed sidewalk project didn't seem to help.
These are the current conditions from the opposite side from the parking lot entrance in @denverparksrec #CongressPark.
Clearly had room for over 8ft through here to install a shared-use #BikeDEN connection for the #E9thAveNBW.

Go East it says on #E9thAveNBW from @denverparksrec #CheesmanPark to @denverbotanic...
Now look at the E 9th Ave entrances into Cheesman, @DenverDOTI.
I know 9th gets cleared West of Humboldt. Why stop short?

The http://denvergov.org/EastCentralPlan called out the #E9thAveNBW as a future #BikeDEN route.
@denverparksrec gave us only 6ft to share with all the pedestrians using this section.
This should have been 8ft wide AND there should be an 8ft wide connection north of the pool.
Is there a @Vibrant_Denver committee for #BikeDEN infrastructure?
@DenverCPD led the process for the #EastCentralAreaPlan passed by @DenCityCouncil.

How/why is @denverparksrec able to disregard the http://Denvergov.org/eastcentralplan completed thru @DenverCPD that included the #E9thAveNBW?

This looks like a hit & run to me on E 9th Ave, just East of Adams.
Was identified as the #bikeDEN #E9thAveNBW in the @DenverCPD #EastCentralAreaPlan. Could we at least get temporary traffic diverters installed, @DenverDOTI?
The Congress Park Pool access to the sidewalk is even more ridiculous with cars parked at the ramps.
Just terrible planning, or intentionally obstructing #bikeDEN thru access on the #E9thAveNBW.
We need to get this corrected on the north side of the pool, @denverparksrec.
As awesome as the #GarfieldStNBW seems like it will be, the #E9thAveNBW seems to be failing.
The ECAP had it crossing the East Central area & IMO would have been the only low traffic volume option with Diverters.

A 6-foot wide sidewalk is WAY too narrow for 2-way bike & ped traffic, @denverparksrec & @DenverDOTI.

We could start making the #E9thAveNBW more bike friendly TODAY simply by placing some of those orange jersey barriers mid-block or end of block as modal filters.
Maybe 🤔 completely CLOSE E9thAve between Lincoln/Broadway, or Exit Only on both sides forcing entry from the alley.
After you figure that out, could someone please figure out why the #E9thAveNBW stops at Garfield?
