At #EENA2019, at the closing speech, we said that this was not a "goodbye"; it was just a "see you soon" and a 👋 has never taken so long.
So as not to foreshadow #EENA2022, we just ask you to mark 27-29 April on your 🗓️.
All conference materials will be available on the 25 Oct.

EENA2019 - Impact of climate change on disasters and large emergencies
EENA2019 - Impact of climate change on disasters and large emergencies As we prepare ourselves to act on climate change and global warning, we can already feel their immediate impact in Europe and beyond– so how can be better react when they affect public safety? Alice Hill served both as Special Assistant to President Obama and as Senior Director for Resilience Policy on the Na-tional Security Council. While at the White House, Alice was responsible for how climate resilience considerations should be incorporated into matters of national security and international development. She developed the nation’s capabilities for long-term drought resilience, and established national risk management standards for the most damaging natural hazards in the U.S. Today, Alice is a Research Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution. Her work focuses on building resilience to destabilizing catastrophic events, including the impacts of climate change. More information: https://eenaconference.org/

For today’s #EarthDay we’d like to reflect on our impact on the planet and its consequences.

Ensuring #publicsafety also means tackling #climatechange, understand its effects and what can be done. At #EENA2019, we learnt this and more from @Alice_C_Hill
