None who knew them would have doubted. In the labyrinth, Briar's steady momentum, her inexorable advance onward and upward, had earned her the moniker The Adamant Stride. Her guild always followed in her footsteps, unshakable, undefeated, and dauntless. Onward and upward. #EOV
On the threshold of the gateway to a world unknown, one from which there was no return, the choice was plain:
Return home, care for the broken therian as they could, and live what lives were available to them.
Or press forward, searching in hope for something that may not exist. #EOV
And so the end of the story. The guild stood at the very height of the heavens in the aftermath: Penelope, in such a frenzy in the final fight that she'd scarcely been able to tell friend from foe, finally unraveled, sinking into herself, unable to lift her blades, nor even recognize her family #EOV

Aisling seems sure that with just a little more time, a little more knowledge, she could do something more for Penelope - but Yggdrasil has been surmounted. There is nothing left to discover.
So the party seeks the aid of the an ally, and is given a sliver of hope - along with a new horizon. #EOV
Penelope, The Dire Blade - Her condition continues to deteriorate. She fights with a blind fury, with no consideration for her own safety. Though Bianca and Briar try to keep her from the field, and protect her as she rages, she has suffered wound after wound, and is on the verge of collapse. #EOV
Bianca, The Fatal Hand - Aisling's treatments and Mom and Dad's warmth have healed some of the scars on the young fighter's psyche. Though still fierce, she finds it in herself to be mindful and judicious, on and off the battlefield. Her chief concern is Penny, for whom she'll do anything. #EOV
As the three worked together to treat Bee and Penny's illness, they formed a close bond. Ever preoccupied with her research, Aisling views Briar and Olive's marriage as a romantic but quaint curiosity - though that doesn't stop her from inviting herself to their bed occasionally #EOV
Aisling, The Keen Mind - Though her research into Yggdrasil bore remarkable fruit, each mystery solved yielded three more in its place. Even now, standing at the pinnacle of the great tree, her curiosity burns brighter than ever. #EOV
Olive, The Gentle Smile - As Briar became Dad, Olive inevitably became Mom. She was ever a balm to her the others' hearts, with a word, a smile, or an entreaty to the spirits. After conquering the labyrinth, they returned to her home people, where she and Briar were properly wedded. #EOV
Briar, The Adamant Stride - the formidable foundation of her party's strength, Briar's taciturn but ever reliable presence came to be the thing the others relied on the most. Bee and Penny started calling her Dad, as a way to piss off the older woman, but these days she doesn't mind it so much. #EOV
I normally write a little epilogue for my EO threads after postgame, but for this game it seems most appropriate to do it now, so let's see how our cast of characters is doing (also #EOV does this thing where you can make up cool titles for your character so I get to shoe those off):
One of those fantastic EOV boss-fights that ended with only one party member alive, making one last desperate attack. God this series is good. #EOV
