BTW, this is literally how this result was presented at the #EPRV6 conference in Porto #exoplanets 🔭
#EPRV6
Can you fall in love with data? #exoplanets #eprv6 🔭
Congrats to Dr Oscar Barragán (@exoscar.bsky.social) on his poster presentation at #EPRV6! His work covers how we can use multidimensional Gaussian processes on both spectroscopic and photometric stellar observations in order to determine mass measurements of planets around young stars!
Congrats to Dr Michael Cretignier on his talk at #EPRV6 on his work within the PLATO consortium concerning their RV data challenge, where different teams have independent techniques to find small planets in RV data!
Congrats to Dr Baptiste Klein on his talk at #EPRV6! He explains how you can use Doppler Imaging as a way to model stellar activity. This method helps us to find exoplanets around sunlike stars!
Had a great time at #eprv6 this week! We had a splinter session on supergranulation that led to some great discussions! Thank you to everyone who came!
Btw my talk for tomorrow got a bit silly. Lets see how that goes #eprv6
The conference has continued, i'm just very bad at social media. I miss the times in which people posted full conference live threads #eprv6
#eprv6 #exoplanet folks, come see my poster (#30), this lunch and the lunch to follow ⭐ You can consult the digital version here: astronasko.com/poster_eprv6...
The real extreme precision radial velocities were the friends we made along the way #eprv6
Many Oxoplanets members are at #EPRV6! Chat to them about the awesome work they have been doing!
We close with André Silva talking about "very weird stuff in radial velocity extraction". Hqigh cadence observations are affected by imperfect telluric correction that creates spurious trends. The goes away once the stellar template uses observations that cover the full BERV range. #eprv6
We finish with an old friend getting an upgrade. Roberto Varas presents CARMENES-PLUS, an upgrade to cooling system the NIR arm of CARMENES to improve its RV precision #eprv6
We move to the southern cousin. Lars Buchhave presents 2ES, the second earth spectrograph, which will perform a similar survey in the 2.2m telescope in the southern hemisphere #eprv6

Excited to be at #eprv6 this week! If you are here and want to talk about supergranulation come find me!
Moving on, René Tronsgaard is presenting HARPS-3 (@terrahunting.bsky.social), the third instrument in the HARPS family, that will observe a selected number of stars every night for 10 years, from the Isaac Newton telescope in La Palma. #eprv6
Sharon Xuesong Wang is now introducing CHORUS, the new high resolution ultra stable spectrograph, with ESPRESSO-level precision, which will join the GTC i'm 2028. #eprv6
Structure of the NIRPS project
Preliminary results of NIRPS
François Bouchy presents NIRPS, our beautiful NIR spectrograph which has been operating for 2 years already. More during the rest of the week #eprv6
KPF data demonstrating long term stability
RM data taken with KPF
Andrew Howards presented the current state of the Keck Planet Finder, which seems to be doing good! Excited to see more results about to come out #eprv6
We are starting the sixth workshop on Extremely Precise Radial Velocities #eprv6. Which we will discuss the state of the art and future developments of Radial Velocities for exoplanet sciences, in the beautiful city of Porto #exoplanets 🔭
A photograph of a large white airliner with the red and blue tail of Delta Airlines sitting at an airport gate.
A day late and from a different airport in a different state than intended, but on my way to #eprv6 !
