#EYCD2024 Day 31:

#EYCD2024 Day 30: Yes, 2024 was a good year for dramas. We were fed well with productions such as Shogun, Good Partner, Light Shop and Jeongnyeon. Even the smaller dramas, like My Boss and No Gain, No Love delivered.

#EYCD2024 Day 29: I am trying to keep my expectations low, as a method of self preservation, but I honestly can’t wait for #LoveScout 🥰

#EYCD2024 Day 28: I would love to see more stories like #FamilyByChoice that features found families and tackles social and mental health issues in a respectful but heartwarming way, challenging the statu quo with kindness.

#EYCD2024 Day 27: Not enough people watched #DreamingOfAFreakingFairytale and #NoGainNoLove.

#EYCD2024 Day 26: I should have known better than to get my hopes up for this spin off, but I was on a No Gain No Love High. This was a disaster.

#EYCD2024 Day 25: No-one did it like them. #AVirtuousBusiness

#EYCD2024 Day 24: The Double had a very impressing costume design, particularly for the character of Duke Su.

#EYCD2024 Day 23: I don’t think any of the dramas I saw this year are “innovating” but rather familiar stories but really well developed and with surprising elements.

#EYCD2024 Day 22: #LightShop is the best kdrama of 2024 and it absolutely deserves the hype. More about it here: www.tumblr.com/namjhyun/770...

#EYCD2024 Day 21: #EveryoneLovesMe was *that* drama for me this year. The comfort watch that felt familiar and yet surprising. I love everything about it and I am already trying to find time to watch it again.

#EYCD2024 Day 20: There are so many dramas with plots and storylines that are so out there, it’s hard to be able to identify fully in the experience of the characters. However, that’s not the case for me with #FakeItTillYouMakeIt. My day to day struggles never felt more seen and that made my cry.

#EYCD2024 Day 19: #LovelyRunner was such a great watch. It has so many belly laughing (and giggling) moments but also lots of heart, earnest and well developed relationships that keep you engage. A ten out of ten.

#EYCD2024 Day 18: This year I watched a wide range of dramas so there wasn’t a defined genre that I watched the most.

#EYCD2024 Day 17: #ZhangWanyi had a great year showing his range in several dramas and movies, even as a voice actor. He was the standout for me and his performance in #AreYouTheOne made me watch other projects he was in.

#EYCD2024 Day 16: I don’t think anyone will disagree when I say #JangNara gave an outstanding, nuanced and award worthy performance in #GoodPartner. The way she had to show a wide range of emotions without it being too much and kept the audience engaged with her story. Ma’am, my hat is off to you!

#EYCD2024 Day 15: I think this happens with lots of historical cdramas because of the slow burn, but I finished #MelodyOfGoldenAge far more invested in the characters and the story than when I first started.

#EYCD2024 Day 14: I have never seen the cdrama #GoAhead but I am aware it’s really good. Its Korean remake, #FamilyByChoice, I found to be outstanding storytelling for the issues it deals with and the performances.

#EYCD2024 Day 13: I really wanted to like the kdrama #QueenOfDivorce. The premise sounded fun and the casting was perfect but the story crumbled under a badly and boring script that didn’t know how to create tension, resolve the problems or use the cast’s acting chops for drama and comedy.

#EYCD2024 Day 12: the Dads from #FamilyByChoice became friends and did their best from a bad situation by raising three wonderful kids together. Even when society was always talking behind their backs, they remained steadfast. Defended their family when needed and showered their kids with love.

DRAMA REVIEW | The Double (2024) For starters, this was a great watch. The production value was outstanding, the clothing design beautiful and the performances exactly what you want from this kind of revenge story, which is subtle a…

#EYCD2024 Day 11: #TheDouble was probably the drama that kept me at the edge of my seat and talking non-stop with other fans thanks to the over the top drama, performances and story. Up to the point I’m still pissed at the ending (what a way to miss the mark) but the ride was WILD!! WILD I TELL YOU!

#EYCD2024 Day 9: I actually got to watch several that I have missed when they first came out but the standout it's probably Like Otters (2022), which it's outstanding storytelling both technically and emotionally.

#EYCD2024 Day 8: #CinderellaAt2AM was an okay-ish kdrama but if there was something superior, it was the secondary couple played by #YoonPark and #Sojin. They way they delivered (and then some) on the from arranged marriage to true love troupe. WHOA! Hilarious, endearing, amazing.

#EYCD2024 Day 7: Lord Huaiyang from the cdrama #AreYouTheOne. General, strategist, devoted husband, meme.

#EYCD2024 Day 6: I dropped Love Song for Illusion, citing politely all the reasons why (and that I still stand for) and I got cyberbullied. Some fans need therapy. I have never been more glad to drop a drama in my life.

I also dropped Kill Me Love Me. I tried to watch it twice, no luck. That's it.

#EYCD2024 Day 5: I had zero expectations for the 2024 cdrama #MyBoss, and yet I found a solid romcom featuring a healthy work environment (most of the time) and a really good couple. A nice surprise.

#EYCD2024 Day 4: None to be honest.

#EYCD2024 Day 2: I am so excited and happy to have find #ZhangWanYi. He checked all the boxes of dramatic and comedy performances, even having the ability to be a meme. Which ended in me watching three of his dramas this year. I am looking forward to all future roles!

I’m a fan of all of it.

#EYCD2024 Day 3: Favourite actor discovered in 2024

Ananda Everingham (The Library, Shutter), Aelm Thavornsiri (The Broken Us), Ryu Vachirawich (Matalada), Pompam Niti (Wake up Chanees, Matalada, Present Perfect, The Library)

Again, showing myself as noob with 3 of these.
