150 Years of East High History — A Documentary Film. A Heritage of Excellence

Today, East High stands proudly in the heart of Denver, towering above Colfax. A monument to education, diversity, the arts and athletics, the current location welcomed its first students in September of 1925. The "old" East was located at 19th and Stout, and the city grew around it. 150 years later, East is still a pace setter. In September of 2025, we are celebrating East's first 150 years. We are asking devoted members of the East community to help us create a meaningful cinematic memory of our history.

You are receiving this because you are an East Alum and/or a friend of East. Our school is a place of progressive learning and enlightenment that has long made it one of the top high schools in America.

East helped prepare you or someone you know for your/their future life and work. Now is the time to celebrate East's 150 years.

We are creating a one-hour documentary film, in which we will chronicle the school's remarkable story, dating back to 1875.
