From Domaine Lamarche, 2006 #Echezeaux #Burgundy #pinot Med ruby. Powerful sour fruit of cherry and gooseberry. A bit sappy. Tannins a bit square. Lacking in mid palate. Reflection of the #vintage Good but am nonplussed. A bit of alcohol on finish lingers.
From the excellent 2009 #Burgundy vintage, this Domaine d’Eugénie #Echezeaux is merely good. While the fruit is ripe, rich and concentrated, the ripeness, almost confected, dominates. It ends up a bit short and two dimensional. I have had better premier crus. #wine #pinot
