Blue skies, wispy clouds, contrail, red rock formations and chaparral bushes at Echo Canyon trailhead just after dawn. This photo has been edited. I don’t usually use filters or do any post-editing, but i chose to use the auto-enhance tool in my iPhone’s camera app in order to bring out the color in the cliffs and desert scrub.

Echo Canyon, near Death’s Rock

This is one of the most scenic of spots along the entire route of the Pacific Railroad. The UP, racing to meet the CP, built through here in the first months of 1869.
