May 25, 1944, the 8th Air Force took off from UK, one target was Tonnerre Sidings.
8:25, 36 children entered the Church of Notre-Dame in Tonnerre for a Communion rehearsal.
Two bombs destined for the railway hit the Notre Dame, 0.5km south of the target. 😢 #tragedyofwar
