Near #EcumSecum the fertile marshes along the river at Fleet Settlement & New Chester contrast with the surrounding boreal country and are the home of GREAT BLUE HERONS. BITTERNS and COMMON SNIPE. Such strays as LITTLE BLUE HERONS, EGRETS and COMMON GALLINULES have also been reported from this area

Several stations responded to a structure fire, in #EcumSecum
(Down the road from Halifax) , 4 fire trucks, and an EHS ambulance. We've been without power and internet access, since it started.

Looking to the ocean from the wharf below your feet, and a solid line of rock just off the wharf, was once a breakwater to slow the ocean down, most of it washed away since. The edge of the point is on the horizon but further out are many wild islands that dot the ocean's horizon
"EeekUp SeekUp" #EcumSecum ◄ That name appears nowhere else in the world. It starts in the #Halifax municipality & at this wharf turns into Guysborough County. Local fishermen tie up here. Other locals try to catch fish during mackerel runs. #WAYCTV
