A fantastic little pub near the Meadows in #Edinburgh, the #Dagda is the perfect mix between modern and traditional. A great sociable space with a good selection of beer.

Talking of MSP having quick pint, used to see one or two of them sneaking up to the old Holyrood Bar when it wa just a boozer. Sometimes the BBC jorno's as well... They would lurk up the back...

I think the competition from the East Way Tap which is a similar vibe took some of the custom away. Sounds like the new owners are putting the TV back in for 'only big sporting events' . They say they do run other pubs in Leith..anyway good luck to them and wish Robbie well.

Robbie had taken over the 'Tun and ripped out all the TV's and tried to turn it into..well The Tourmalet where he worked for many years. I liked going there as you could have proper blether with the locals and catch up on the Easter Rd gossip.

Interesting that one of my locals The Mash Tun Facebook page has put out a post that there is change in ownership. Was in there a couple of weeks back and Robbie was quite relaxed when I asked him how things were. I had heard from another bar person things were not so great.

Remember going into Coopers Rest when I first moved to Leith- Iwas doing a recce of all the pubs on Easter Road. It was run by some person who did not seem to know who run pub..Good to see it staying as a pub, even if its a Gastro one

Haven't had a pint of Murphy's in about 30 years, so it was great to have one in Seamus's - the former International Bar - in Edinburgh.
It's a really nice pub with great beer. Recommended.
