It's not Guiness..its Newbarns Stout and its better than Guiness. 'Takes some pourin' said the barman. I'm in the Bowlers Rest as was getting depressed looking at how much work needs done on the allotment. Fled here as its round the corner from oor plot.

I see that people who run 'Diggers' pub in Gorgie have take over the closed pub Chancho on Benard St. They are planing to call it Diggers Leith. If they can bring the same prices and beer them I will be all in.

The gentrification of Easter Road pubs is almost complete
Snark aside, it is good that it is staying as a pub, even if it is a gastro one. I had a pint in the Coopers Rest, and it was a lovely wee bar. It just had a rubbish owner, hence why it closed.
