Why did Wikipedia cofounder block edits to the ‘Gaza genocide’ page? Jimmy Wales calls for 'neutral approach' to page, which referred to 'ongoing, intentional destruction' of Palestinians.

In my opinion, the situation in #Gaza can by now rightly be called #genocide. And AlJazeera is neatly listing the evidence for that opinion. But I do not blame Jimmy Walsh for trying to avoid #editorwars.

If you have to ask for help in a forum to do something as simple as search for and paste-replace a single word with the editor you're using, you might be using the wrong editor. 😅

I've worked with both Vim and VS Code extensively.

VS Code won because I spend more time thinking about problems than navigating text, and IntelliSense beats memorized commands

VSCodium, Atom etc.: zu lahm (Electron)
vim: zu viele weirde Modi
Emacs: Handkrampf
Helix, Zed, Tilde […]

Our 8-week trial of Cursor and Windsurf is over. The results are conclusive: Windsurf is the preferred editor. Cursor brags about their “vibe coding”, and yeah, we believe them. It’s exactly why we don’t want to use it anymore.
