#EggClub goes East. Early riser veggie breakfast at The Full Monty just off Roman Road. Mushrooms were perfect, veg sausage a bit odd-tasting.

#EggClub - got a rare unbooked seat (counter, by the front door, constant drafts) at 215 Hackney. I tend to avoid Shakshuka as I find it too liquid but extra Halloumi bulked it out and the bread was excellent.

First Menenen of the year, people of #EggClub . In Mosaic cafe in Clapton. It's nicely spiced if a bit liquid. Appropriately enough they played 'I am the walrus' while I was waiting.

Anyhoo, #eggclub, what we saying? (Mrs CF is staunchly opposed to quote "fannying around" with her poached eggs, by which she means a sprinkling of chives or pepper, or some hot sauce of whatever. Small twist of salt is all that is permitted)
