Hayley Roberts at #Elasmo25:
Blue sharks are one of the most heavily fished sharks in the world. UK recreational anglers collect and share data, giving us a time series since the 1950s. Recent increases in catch are caused by oceanographic changes- UK is now better habitat for blue sharks

Jack Renwick at #Elasmo25 :
Fisheries management requires fishermen to accurately record and share catch and discard data. One reason why they don’t do this is complexity. Educating fishermen, and making it easier for them to report their data, leads to much higher compliance.
