My LinkedIn comment bit.ly/40pJZIU critiques two of these views:

1⃣"Thermolysis" (requires 2,500°C, not 2,000°C!) is not "Electrolysis"
2⃣"Membrane-less Electrolysis" is intrinsically unsafe & not allowed by international safety standard ISO 22734

Eliseo (Lee) Curcio provided on LinkedIn what appears to be an AI-generated summary of the Arup (2022) Scottish Government "Assessment of electrolyzers: report".

Yes, #DOE experts mentioned #LHV for all electrolyzers would align with #HFTO fuel cell work⬇️, but today most hydrogen is for refining/fertilizer/chemicals, very little in new areas like transpo/power gen.
Go with what's accurate: #HHV!

Even the DOE @ENERGY #Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Technologies Office #HFTO can mess up higher #HHV & lower heating values #LHV:
-Liquid water reactant →#HHV⬇️
Includes ΔHvap of H2O=#PEM #LAE #AEM
-Water vapor reactant →#LHV
H2O vapor feed=#SOEC
