I enjoyed this audiobook.
I learned a lot about young Elizabeth l and Thomas Seymour. There is plenty of historical drama throughout. If there isn't a movie based on Seymour--there should be. He was quite a character. ****

I don’t think anyone guessed that the doors in the photo I shared last week are at Hatfield Old Palace where a reproduction of Elizabeth 1’s stylish signature is on display.

The Trump regime needs an Elizabeth I awakening.
"Proud Prelates, I made you & I can break you!"
Why?
Because governance is a burden, not a brand.
"To whom much is committed, much is required."
Real power is this:
"That I have reigned with your loves."

A close up of a young woman dressed as aTudor princess. Her red silk velvet gown is edged with gold and ruby ooches and pearls. She is wearing a pearl necklace and has in her closed hand the necklace bearing a letter B for Boleyn that once belonged to her mother Anne Boleyn.
Apart from making films for museums and our YouTube channel (Crow’s Eye Productions), we (@nicoleloven) also do book cover photography for Arcangel Images. This example, Princess Elizabeth, the future Elizabeth I, is holding her mother Anne Boleyn’s necklace. #Tudors #Elizabeth1
A moody sky over Kenilworth Castle in June 2025. Photograph by Maud Gillett.
Kenilworth Castle was looking brooding yesterday - a hauntingly beautiful reminder of history's famously star-crossed lovers. 👑🏰

On my recent research visit to Hatfield House I spotted Sir Walter Raleigh’s signature amongst the framed copies on display in the Old Palace.
His handwriting isn’t a patch on Elizabeth’s stylish script.
