Two Mafalda comic strips. Both depict conversations between sassy 6-year old Mafalda, Felipe, and Manolito. Strip 1: Felipe: “Thinking about it, it’s appalling that we print more banknotes than books.” Felipe: “One day, people will value culture more than money!” Mafalda: “Don’t you think maybe your ideas area a little naive, Felipe?” Manolito: “They’re not naive! They’re dangerous!” Strip 2: “Your ideas are very noble, Felipe, but they’re a bit naive.” Felipe: “Is it naive to say that people appreciate culture more than they do money?” Felipe: “Wouldn’t the world be a better place if bookshops were more important than banks?” Manolito: “No it wouldn’t! You radical extremist!”
