Two photos of a homemade Leprechaun trap. One zoomed out to show the whole box, and one zoomed in from above to peer inside. The box is taller than it is wide, wrapped in shiny green hologram paper. A ladder made from chopsticks and white pipe cleaners leans against the front. A couple butterflies and some flowers decorate the entrance to the box, which is from the top. A rainbow arches over it, nestled in clouds that wrap the top of the box. Above is a hand written sign saying "Secret Gold." There is gleaming gold hologram paper across the opening, leaving just a bit of space to drop inside to retrieve the coins. If you're smurf sized, getting out would be difficult.
This seems like an ill-advised school assignment. The kindergarten is going to try and trap Leprechauns, so the March family project was to build a trap. Which I agreed to. Begrudgingly.
Y'all... I grew up surrounded by Irish immigrants. This was NOT something we attempted in the 80s!
