As most folks in Boston know, I'm not in the business of tooting my own horn. It's not something I often do, but let's talk about what I do and why it's not easy. As an unapologetic media figure, I'm not tied to any party or politician, even though I've helped many of them get elected to office. But one thing I've NEVER done is put them before my listeners and community. And, I've gladly paid a price for it commercially. That's why it means so much to me when I receive messages like this one, from someone who appreciates the work over ideology or politics. I won't share their identity, but it's clear that the people of Massachusetts, especially Boston, are not satisfied with the current state of things. It's up to all of us to stand up against political machines (and yes, @MayorWu now has a bigger political machine than the one she once fought against), and the elite media.
