This is Jacob. Jacob is named after a Jacob sheep. But Jacob is not a Jacob sheep, Jacob is based off of a Romney sheep 🐑 Unfortunately, Jacob is not real. Jacob is just two beanbags and toilet paper (paper mâché clay).
I love Jacob.

This work confronts consumer choices and their impact. Using 48 milk crates arranged as an American flag, each row reflects levels of action to the Better Chicken Commitment (BCC), a humane poultry farming standard. Brands most aligned with BCC appear at the top, while the least committed occupy the bottom. Fast-food packaging line the crates, associating each major corporation to its animal welfare ranking.
Inside the crates, feathers collected from two sources: rich brown feathers naturally shed by chickens at a local family farm, and washed-out white feathers taken from deconstructed down pillows. Each weekend, I collect feathers at the farm, whose environment and varied diet allow them to retain full coloring. By contrast, down pillow feathers come from birds raised in crowded, industrial facilities where high-speed plucking & poor diets produce pale, dull feathers.
