Last month, two NRP 80 research groups seized the opportunity and took part in the consultation on the partial revision of the #EpidemicsAct: „Swiss pandemic governance" (nfp80.ch/en/BzzNJF6Mn...) and "Inequity and wellbeing"(nfp80.ch/en/5BvJh8tmy...).

The proposed revision of the #EpidemicsAct includes some important improvements such as equality of access to protection measures. However, indirect effects are still not taken sufficiently into account. I truly hope that our response submitted to the Swiss FOPH helps to further improve the law.
NRP 80 “Covid and Society” submitted a position on the partial revision of the #EpidemicsAct. The #social dimension should be pondered in a pandemic, as well as #direct and #indirect effects.

During the second day of the annual conference of the NRP80 the revision of the #EpidemicsAct and the #Pandemicplan were in the center of discussions. Over the course of the two days, the researchers presented their advances and there were many fruitful exchanges.
