Going to try propagating this smaller Epilobium canum variety "Bowman's #1." This one was planted in May and was watered maybe once a month since then. We'll see if it's as happy on the sunnier side of the yard.

アカバナといえば、山に咲く花で、水がしみ出しているような岩場で見かけるというイメージだったのですが、北海道では平地で普通に見られます。コンクリート塀にも生えていたりして、なかなか逞しい。
