Photios Narration: "How can I possibly measure against you?" Ignatios looks down at Photios, framed by the sparkling sunlight and poppies. Photios looks up at him, still in his shadow, pressed to the ground. Ignatios kisses him in the field of poppies.
Photios Narration: "I have been fasting... praying to the Lord for guidance." Photios kneels before the cross, hands clenching a rosary. The shadows change cast, indicating he's been kneeling in prayer the whole day. Photios Narration: "Preparing my mind and body for the Epiphany." Photios runs in the forest, practicing his leaping. He reaches for the branch of an oak tree as he leaps.
Photios Narration: This year, I will recieve the Lord's blessing and banish these demons. Our family will finally see my worth." Photios leads the Epiphany procession of the family from Sozopolis to the beach. He swings the thurible, wafting incense over the congregation.

A group of women sit around a table, drinking wine and chattering. Photios leans against a column in the background, holding a glass of wine impassively. The women watch Ignatios dance the hora with a group of men. One says, "Oh! Look at Ignatios!"
Ignatios is sparkling and beautiful as he dances. The woman continues, "He's so lovely and graceful! I wish the Archon would allow one of us to marry him!" She clenches her hands and pouts. Another woman sighs, "Mother says they're saving him for some Constantinople alliance.." A third woman looks to the first. "It's hard to believe that he and Photios are twins." The first smirks and replies. "We know who got all the looks between them!" The other two women laugh.
The second woman cringes. "Photios is so creepy! He's always lurking in the dark with that dour face." The first one lifts her glass. "Good thing he's promised to the Church.. imagine being matched with him!" The third woman responds looking deadly serious. "I would throw myself into the Black Sea." All four women have a real good laugh at that. Photios looks on, unnoticed.
Photios clenches his chest, the overpowering shadow cast by his brother obscuring him. Photios Narration: "In your shadow.... my heart rots."

Watch what you say around the little cocksucker." Photios leans over the catwalk, listening to them belittle him. The first guard continues, "He's quiet cuz he's always listening. He reports everything to Slavoj."
