Sand dunes with vegetation on them and in front of them. In the hollow of a dune sits a Snowy Owl.

It should, but the people who use it SWEAR that it’s fine. There’s a very well known person in Central Park that does it & has lots of people on his tours. (He does it with owls and other birds.) Even if he disclosed it, he would justify it. #ethicalbirding #birding
Went on a NJ owl tour with a secret location, implying a known roost. Instead, the guide spent the whole walk blasting playback. Given this is generally inappropriate per National Audubon Society standards for owls, shouldn't that be disclosed upfront? 🚫 Thoughts? 🦉

Western Screech Owl peeking out of a nest box at early sundown.
Western Screech Owl! A lifer bird for me that I never thought I’d actually get to see. I didn’t stay long after he woke up as he was likely getting ready to hunt. This is an endangered species and rare find, but for any species it’s important to practice #EthicalBirding #ethicalbiddphotography
