I think it can (and must) be done.

The majority of Europeans want a #EuropeanArmy so we'd start with creating a core 'European Defence Union' with a group of willing countries. Then more countries can join later, just like the Euro and Schengen (🇭🇺🇨🇿 can't veto).

Here's how we would do it:

I feel like we've probably gone beyond the 'point of no return' with 🇺🇸 and that Trump actions have exposed the inherent weakness the composition of our alliance.

In order for NATO to survive, we must have a strong, independent #EuropeanArmy

Without a #EuropeanArmy other countries (like 🇺🇸) will decide where we, Europe, stands.

The US is the only NATO member to invoke article 5, then they insult the European allies that fought with them in Afghanistan. Now they threaten us... again.

Think 🇺🇸 is a reliable ally?

Let's build a #EuropeanArmy together, starting by replacing US leadership in NATO with European officers 🤝 🫡
