European XFEL Visitors Center Lighthouse shows
its second arts exhibition:
"Parallel Universes" —Fluro-Art by Felix Stöver
Vernissage: 27 March, 5 p.m. Admission is free.

On display are the #fluorescent and #phosphorescent #artworks by the northern German #artist Felix Stöver. His pictures play with #light and form a bridge between the visible and the invisible. He and his pictures were very well known in the #Psytrance and #Goa scene.

After his untimely death, Stöver's pictures lay dormant in his parents' attic for a long time, until they reappeared a few months ago in the Hamburg art and creative centre JUPITER. Now they will be displayed at the visitor centre Lighthouse. The vernissage is on 27 March at 5pm.

After a welcome address by Thomas Feurer, Managing Director, European XFEL, an introduction to Stöver's work will be provided by Klaus Weseloh, friend and administrator of the images, and cyber-gallerist Damkoi Thomas Kpénougou.

Felix Stöver studied physics at the University of Hamburg and wrote his diploma thesis at the Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY) in 2007. There, as at the European XFEL, fluorescence and phosphorescence also play an important role in the investigation of molecules and substances.

The exhibition can be visited until 28 June 2025. Admission is free!

I also had the pleasure to meet former Beamline for Schools coordinators who are now based at the European XFEL! They have a new visitor center (the lighthouse) where one can learn more about their beamline facilities and their experiments 😍⚛️🚀 #EuropeanXFEL #XFEL #BL4S #DESY #CERN
