Greater Sudbury's new events centre clears another hurdle It will be built in the shadows of the existing Sudbury Community Arena and projected to cost $200 million.

The City of #GreaterSudbury has selected a site for the #EventsCentre. Mayor Paul Lefebvre told reporters site prep should begin later this year. The foundation will be poured in late 2026 and construction will begin in 2027. The venue is set to open in 2028.
